Jessica Alba: I don't want to be stay-at-home mom
While other celebrities have more clothes than one can even imagine, Shailene Woodley can fit everything she owns into a carry-on suitcase.
The actress had such busy schedule last year that she was only home in Los Angeles for two weeks, so she decided to get rid of everything she owned.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she said: “Everything that I own and use are in a carry-on suitcase… I figure if I only own a few things and it gets lost, then I would have nothing.
“I was only home for 15 days last year and I got home and I was like, ‘I don’t wanna be alone, I wanna be with my friends and my family…’, so I got rid of everything just so that I would have one suitcase that would be easy to transport between houses, and just kind of couch surfed for a few months,” she explained.
“It’s so refreshing and it takes so much stress away when you’re like, ‘I only have one pair of jeans to wash’. I have a computer and a few articles of clothing – I’ve got a hoodie…, a few basic tank tops, T-shirts, jeans, leggings.”
Actually, a lot of fashion designers lend their clothes out to stars, probably just so they can be seen. If you aren’t famous or likable enough to get them lent to you, you can also rent them. Regardless of whether or not she is trying too hard you also should remember that her publicist and her agents want her to look good because that’s how she gets roles and other forms endorsements. Honestly, I’d rather hear about her living out of a suitcase than some other star buying yet another vacation home. If nothing else, it’s refreshing.
I think its refreshing that she would rather see her friends and family face to face instead of being constantly hooked to a phone tweeting and texting. That’s pretty rare in this age where people prefer electronic device contact over human contact. It’s kind of sad.
I like her because she’s not afraid to openly talk about her love of hunting. Oh, how liberals get so steamed when anybody in the limelight goes against their world views.
