After a year of various incidents, Shia LaBeouf has announced he is retiring from the public life.
He tweeted yesterday: ”In light of the recent attacks against my artistic integrity, I am retiring from all public life. My love goes out to those who have supported me. #stopcreating.”
The latest trouble the actor got into was plagiarizing author Daniel Clowes’ graphic novellas Justin M. Damiano for his short film HowardCantour.com. After being slammed via Twitter and the media, LaBeouf sent out numerous apologetic tweets directed at Clowes.
“I was wrong, terribly wrong. I owe it to future generations to explain why,” the actor tweeted, adding “Copying isn’t particularly creative work. Being inspired by someone else’s idea to produce something new and different IS creative work.”
Shia even hired a skywriter to write “I AM SORRY DANIEL CLOWES” in the sky over Hollywood, trying to make peace with the comic book writer. However, Clowes’ publisher Eric Reynolds branded them ”insincere” and said: ”I imagine airplane messaging is the norm in Hollywood, but someone really should have informed Mr. LaBeouf that Mr. Clowes lives in the Bay Area [in Northern California] before he went to all that trouble.”
Well, a great choice Shia. When you do not success in public life with all its rumors and attacks it is better to quit it and enjoy normal quiet life as a simple man. Life has so much to offer besides tabloids, gossips and rumors. We, simple, people live a normal life and are happy none discuses us, bedsides our acquaintances, and this can get annoying to, but not the entire world is aware of this fact, though.)))
I am sorry for Shia, come on, the entire Hollywood is copying each other, so what no one has ever “slapped” them for doing that, while it is so easy to run on Shia with all those arguments, he is not wrong about anything, so what if he got inspired by someone else’s creation, he apologized many times, so people come on stop being that mean and give it a break. Shia I think you should not stop your carrier as it is just the beginning, no one said it is going to be easy, but people said it is going to be worthy. So do not stop doing something that you like and feel happy with due to some people speaking badly behind your back, all the famous and talented are being spoken behind their back, but not because they are doing something wrong, it is simply because people are envy with other people who were able to do something they could not even dream about.
Well he got what he deserved, and at least he retired after that, I guess it was the only good thing that has come to his head, it is not good to use someone else’s hard work and emotions in order to become famous. Shia is not better than any other person, so he should do something by his own mind, in order to get people’s applauding him. The good thing is that after that he really did what he had to do. I guess after he has shamed himself this way there was no other decent escape for him from this kind of situation. So the fact that he proceeded like a decent person in the end of situation might mean that he really understood the mistake he has made and he will work on solving it.
I like Shia since I saw “The Transformers”, I think before that movie I have never seen him before in other movies. In this situation I can say that everyone in the world should do the things he is good at, and not trying to “steal” someone else’s bread. Maybe I am being too cruel, but that is the reality. Better be good in what you are doing and shine in your own field, than getting into someone else’s business and making shame of yourself, as this is exactly that Shia has done to himself. I am wondering who has advised him to do this step maybe his agents, or people who pretend to be his friends, as in reality they really are not ( it happens all the time with everyone, and while being a star I guess it becomes even worse). So be brave Shia and do what you consider to do as the right thing, to do, it is good that anyway you found the right way to deal with the situation, so now follow the right path only.
