After the incident in a store in Zurich when shop assistant refused to show a handbag to Oprah Winfrey insisting it was too expensive, the world is still in shock because of the racial prejudice.

However, the shop assistant says that Winfrey’s accusations are absurd. She claims she showed Oprah several bags and when she wanted to see the $35,000 bag, the assistant told her it was like the one she held in her hand only much more expensive. “It is absolutely not true that I declined to show her the bag on racist grounds. I even asked her if she wanted to look at the bag,” the shop worker said.
