In an interview with Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine, Hugh Jackman said that he sees himself as a ”skinny, long-legged” person, despite his impressive physique in The Wolverine.
Even though he shows off strong, muscular body in the movie, Hugh says it’s not his natural shape. “I still see myself as this skinny long-legged person. That body I have is for The Wolverine. I did work on it but it’s not my natural body, and I get a hard time for it,” the actor said, adding that his wife Deborra-Lee Furness doesn’t care about his muscles. “Deb tells me ‘Your job as my husband is to be fat and schlubby’, so no matter what’s going on with me, I look great.”
Deborra and Hugh have been married for 17 years and have two adopted children. Their marriage is among the strongest in Hollywood and Jackman believes that the secret to their long relationship is choosing the right person and compromising.
“I’d say 80 per cent of marriage is choosing the right person and with Deb I just knew. We were really close friends before we got together. But in any marriage there must be sacrifices. No marriage survives if both people are selfish. Obviously there has to be a great deal of attraction and love. I ring Deb about 10 times a day,” he added.
I won’t call Hugh Jackman and skinny man. He is just the embodiment of my dreams! I feel jealous to his wife, but I am truly happy for them. He is right; if you are selfish nothing will work. The relationship is about the right chemistry and compromising. I wish to find the same man for me. I mean the one will have such a great relationship with to come through ages.
