Sofia Vergara doesn’t think there was anything sexist about her satirical segment at the Emmy Awards last night, when she stood on a rotating platform as Television Arts and Sciences President Bruce Rosenblum gave his speech.

The whole thing sparked a lot of criticism with many viewers labeling the stunt as sexist and objectifying. Sofia, however, doesn’t see it that way.

Speaking to reporters backstage at the event, she said: ”I think it’s absolutely the opposite. It means that somebody can be hot and also be funny and make fun of herself.

”I think it’s ridiculous that somebody started this – I know who she was- who has no sense of humor and should lighten up a little bit.”
