They say you shouldn’t mix business and pleasure, but some celebs disagree. When it comes to love, stars can be with anyone they want and sometimes the person they want happens to be on their payroll. Check out the list of celebrities who dated their employees.
Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer has dated a staff member more than once. Cris Judd caught her eye back in 2001 when he was hired to appear in her video for Love Don’t Cost A Thing. They started dating and got married several months later. The marriage lasted for only nine months and the couple divorced. In 2011, shortly after her split from another ex-husband, Marc Anthony, Jennifer started dating Casper Smart. He was her back-up dancer and they stayed together until earlier this year.
Jude Law
When he was engaged to Sienna Miller, Jude Law had a month long affair with his children’s nanny, Daisy Wright. The two were caught in bed together by one of his children who then told his ex-wife about it. Law’s ex-wife Sadie Frost then sacked Wright, prompting the unemployed nanny to sell her story. Although Jude apologized to Sienna for his transgression, the two ended up breaking up, only to get back together a few years later and then break up again.
Heidi Klum
Only a few months after filing for divorce from Seal, Heidi admitted to being in a relationship with her bodyguard Martin Kristen. However, her ex-husband wasn’t too happy about this relationship. “I would have thought Heidi would have showed a little more class and at least waited until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help,” he said.
Robin Williams
Robin Williams met his second wife Marsha Garces when she was working for him and his first wife as a nanny for their son Zachary. Although their marriage lasted 19 years and produced two children, sources say that the comedian’s relapse in 2006 is what caused their split. After 20 years of sobriety, Williams had briefly started to drink again. Other sources say that the marriage ended because Williams was having an affair with a 27-year-old artist.
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arnold Schwarzenegger had an affair with his family’s housekeeper, Mildred Baena and is a father of her child. After lying to his wife Maria Shriver for over a decade, he finally came clean to her about it back in 2011. It turns out that Schwarzenegger’s son with Baena is the exact same age as his youngest son with Shriver, which means that the two women were pregnant at the same time. Although he has since said that the affair was the “stupidest thing” he has ever done, he has never publicly apologized to Maria for his actions.
Britney Spears
Kevin Federline was a backing dancer on Britney’s European tour when they met in 2004. He’d also danced for her ex Justin Timberlake in the past. After three months of dating, Britney and Kevin announced their engagement in July 2004 and got married in September. Spears filed for divorce from Federline on November 7, 2006. They have two sons together, Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline.
Ethan Hawke
Ethan Hawke’s current wife Ryan Shawhughes was his and his ex-wife Uma Thurman’s nanny back when they were married. Even though Hawke has never admitted to cheating on Thurman, he was rumored to have started a relationship with the nanny while he and his ex were still married. “I know people imagine some kind of Sound Of Music type love affair, but the truth is by the time Ryan and I were falling in love, it had been a long while since I had employed her,” Hawke told Elle.
Natalie Portman
Natalie met her husband Benjamin Millepied in 2009 when he choreographed her for the film Black Swan. In December 2010, Portman announced their engagement and confirmed her pregnancy. The actress gave birth to their son Aleph Portman-Millepied in June 2011 and in August 2012, Portman and Millepied married in an intimate Jewish ceremony in Big Sur, California.
