True Blood ends later this year after its seventh and final season and HBO announced they might make a musical adaptation of the hit vampire drama. It isn’t certain yet but the project is planned.

While there aren’t any specific details about the possible True Blood musical, one thing is for sure – Stephen Moyer won’t reprise his role in it.

The actor told the New York Daily News, “Working in Broadway is tough and we have a young family here in L.A. And this stage show would be a younger man’s role. It’s time for me to move on from this now. I have loved every minute of it, but Anna and I are laying it to rest.”
