He said: ”This is the direction I feel like doing now. There’s not much more I can do in action except explode!”

The Rocky star says it wasn’t easy for him to establish himself as a serious actor, explaining that he decided to take the lead role in 1997’s Cop Land after huge amount of criticism following a string of action roles and Rocky sequels.

”Jim Mangold had written a brilliant script. I wanted to work with really good actors and just see how you hold up against them; Bobby De Niro, Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta, Robert Patrick. It served a purpose. I wish it had been more successful but it’s just something I’m really glad I did because it made me realize what I wanted to do in the future.”

Sylvester Stallone is a great actor. I like his roles and I like his choice now. Yes, it is hard to do action roles at his age, so why not taking other roles? Yes Rocky is just 6 minutes of boxing and the rest is professional acting thing. I like Sylvester as an actor and as a man, I would be happy to see the new roles in other than action movies.

I am looking forward to the new roles of Sylvester Stallone. He is a very talented actor and I am sure has so much to show to the public and uncover the new possibilities of a non-action actor. Cannot wait to see what it will be like!

I feel proud somehow for Sylvester Stallone, it is good when people perfectly realize that it is the time to leave the stage and start doing something else. Same thing has done Robert de Niro, though honestly speaking I am not really happy about his latest movies, as my entire vision of him as of a serious actor and person has collapsed after a few of his latest comedies. I really hope that Sly will not do the same mistake, as sometimes it is better to leave completely but leave as a hero of your time, than playing in a few cheap comedies and ruin the entire reputation of a great actor which was built for many, many years of hard work.

Sylvester Stallone is one of my favorite actors, I loved him in the movie where he was defending some girl (I don’t really remember the issue of the movie, but I do remember that he was or bodyguard or some agent who was trying to provide safety to some lady) he was so rough and tough in that movie. I guess that was the moment in my life when I realized what kind of man I would like to have by my side, and which things are working good for me, while which ones would never be good ones for me. He is the type of man that is very easy to fall in love with. It is a shame that he will stop performing in action movies, as I something this is the type of movies he was created for, but I do respect his decision. I think I would agree with anything in order to see him in some more movies.

I think it is the time for Sly to go away from the filming stage for good, as the times of his glory have passed away for good, and it is better to leave now for good and keep people sorry for the fact that he stopped acting, than performing in a few silly movies and leave people with a bad impression about his entire carrier. A few other actors of his league have done the same thing as he is doing now, and they made fun upon their selves, so hopefully Sylvester will change his mind and leave for good.
