If past seasons of The Bachelor are any indication then this most recent season will not have resulted in a lasting relationship. It turns out that fame seeking women and a fame seeking guy don’t make great partnerships and that you can’t really get to know someone in manufactured dates where lots of other catty women are clawing at you to bring you down. Who would have imagined that? Despite the lack of relationship success the show still manages good ratings and the latest season posted a big finale.

In it, Brad Womack (bachelor for a second time) proposed to lovely blonde Emily Maynard. She cried, he looked happy, and then the show ended. Immediately rumors began to swirl that they had broken up but apparently everything is still going strong. She was spotted with the engagement ring still on and she Tweeted that she had gone to visit him so it appears as though they’re still doing well. They broke up once after the finale was filmed but then got back together. It seems sort of insane but people eat this stuff up so the articles are still being written and they’re still talking to the press.
