While filming a birthing scene for her new movie, Gimme Shelter, Vanessa Hudgens popped the blood vessels in her face.
She plays a pregnant teenager who runs away from her abusive mother and the most difficult task for her was doing the scene in which her character delivers a child.
Vanessa told Eonline.com, “Every single day was definitely a challenge but one I embraced with open arms. It was just so thrilling to be able to push myself every day and see how far I could take it. Probably the most physical and emotionally draining scene was my birthing scene. I’ve never shot a birthing scene and I ended up popping blood vessels in my face.”
However, even though the filming process wasn’t easy, Vanessa calls the experience “surreal” and explains she felt a deep connection to the role and her onscreen baby.
“It’s an odd thing, it really is. I mean, I totally had a connection with my baby – my movie baby – and I just had so much love for her, but afterwards they call ‘cut’ and take the baby away and I’m just left there hanging,” she added.
Gimme Shelter is set for release in January 2014.
This is what they call you live the role you play. I think that if your blood vessels pop on your face, then you are really ‘delivering’ a baby. I can understand what the devastation Vanessa felt hearing “Cut!” word. We are humane and have feelings and when you live the role, you experience it on your won skin. And namely this role living makes the actor perfect to my eyes! I believe! )))
