Vince Vaughn says that he doesn’t really like watching so-called great actors because they are ‘little heavy-handed’. He believes that the key to good acting is being yourself in front of the camera.
Even though he has been castigated for playing the same character in different movies, the actor has an explanation for that. He told Rolling Stone magazine: “A lot of people that are considered to be great actors I can’t stand watching, because they’re acting – I can see them working. Some people go, ‘That’s amazing!’ But I don’t find it amazing. I find it to be a little heavy-handed. I think the whole key is to look like you’re not acting. There’s characters I’ve played that have had accents and have had different points of view, but I still try to make it organic. There’s a lot of work in making it look like you’re just being yourself.”
