Movie 6 Guns is “straight to DVD ” type of movie. It is low budget movie but this doesn’t make it bad. Geoff Meed wrote the story and Shane Van Duke directed the movie. This is western and it is not much different than other movies of this gender. Story is already seen. Beauty of this movie lays in details. All characters in the movie are human. The bad guys are mean, rough and ruthless but they are still human. Good guy is good but he still sins. Rightful revenge is in the centre of the story. After Selina Stevens loses her entire family, she loses meaning of life. She starts drinking all day long, every day until a mysterious bounty hunter comes along. She asks him for help and story starts going in interesting direction. She is determined to kill a gang who took her family. She asks Frank, the bounty hunter, to teach her how to kill the man. Barry Van Duke plays Frank Allison. Production of the movie is not on the A list because of lack of money. Framing is not standard and it brings audience closer to the action. Costumes and filming locations are correct and convincing. For the moments movie looks like it is filmed back in the past at the authentic locations. It is good western that will keep you occupied for good hour and half.
