Based on the novel of Joe Coomer comes a movie adaptation done by Roger Towne, which was directed by Margaret Whitton. This film tells the story about two people coming together in the search for a parrot's owner. Lyman (Jackson Hurst) is the guy who lives in a trailer alone. He is working for the Courtesy Patrol and his duties are on the graveyard. After his parents died in a car accident, Lyman became an orphan. The only thing he knows is approximate year of birth and the last name. While searching for his past, a green parrot enters his trailer and starts talking. This gets Lyman obsessed with finding the parrot's owners. That adventure leads him to Fiona (Rachel Nichols), a cute local librarian who has been setting her eyes on him for a long time. She decides to help him with his search, but doesn't realize that the search involves also his grandparents or relatives. Together they look for the bird's owners, which brings them closer to each other and slowly falling in love. With lots of funny situations these two people put themselves through during the movie, this is one of the best comedies ever. It will keep your eyes on screen and laughing throughout the whole thing.
