What is the movie A Field in England about?
Director of well known Kill List, Ben Wheatley takes story written by Amy Jump and makes movie A Field in England. Kill List from 2011 quickly become cult movie. If anyone thinks that A Field in England is going to reach success of Kill List he is wrong. A Field in England has simple straight forward plot with no twists. Story is not convincing and it is far from believable. On the other hand movie comes from UK and has characteristic English humour. A Field in England is filmed in black and white and lot of scenes are filmed “from hand” causing audience either to feel like they are there or to dislike entire idea. Costumes are decent and make up on actors is done correctly. All this happened in seventeen century. Things were simple then, but special kind of people called alchemist who gave their best to make everything complicated. Story goes simple. During civil war in England couple deserters escape from big battle. They get familiar and for strange group. This group gets captured by twisted alchemist looking to find hidden treasure under corpses on battlefield. Relations between characters are typical for English humour and filed with lines that will make audience laugh. A Field in England will be interesting movie for those that like English humour.
