Old horrors had their charm back in time. As the technology went forward, they seemed not so scary after some time. Luckily for all horror fans, remakes can be made. And this one is a remake of a legendary horror movie called A Nightmare on Elm Street. This one, as the original, gets focused on a group of teenagers, who are haunted in their dreams. Kris Fowles (Katie Cassidy) is one of these teenagers. She is about to meet her boyfriend Dean Russell (Kellan Lutz). As he falls asleep, he is the first to meet Freddy Krueger. He dreams of this scarred man in red and black shirt cutting his throat, but in reality, he is the one cutting himself. His friend Kris and the waitress Nancy Holbrook (Rooney Mara) are helpless. At the funeral, Kris recalls he didn't know Dean before high school, and that's the time when it all begins. As he falls asleep for the first time, Kris meets Freddy and after waking up, he refuses to fall asleep again. Jesse Braun (Thomas Dekker), Kris' ex girlfriend, also starts dreaming of Freddy. Not being able to stop him and finding his ex girl covered in blood, Kris rushes off to Nancy, only to find out that she has been having the same dreams. As the story goes on, we get to see the connection between all these teenagers and why does he kill them.
