As you take a first look at A Single Shot, you might easily think it's one of those movies like A Simple Plan, or No Country For Old Men, or even Shallow Grave, but, you'd be wrong. The only thing in common that these movies have is how engaging and heart stopping they are. Directed by David M. Rosenthal, this drama thriller with crime elements will keep you hooked at every moment of its 116 minutes. The story follows character called John Moon, who is a passionate hunter. Although he already got a few tickets for hunting without his license, he keeps on doing it over and over again.. At least until he accidentally shoots a woman instead of a dear. As he knows that he will have to go to jail if he tells the police what happened, he decides to hide her body and vanish. But, he also notices that she has a small suitcase that contains lots of money. So, he takes her money and moves on with his life, trying to get his wife and boy back. Soon, he will find out that it's not that easy, when all those dirty guys who are trying to get their hands on all of that money. And that is the moment when the real hunt begins. With Sam Rockwell, William H. Macy, Ted Levine and Kelly Reilly in the main roles, one can certainly be at right track during watching this movie.
