From writers Jason Parish and Ryan Smith comes another fabulous thriller piece called After. The plot revolves around two characters- Freddy and Ana (Steven Strait and Karolina Wydra). It all begins as we see them trying to start a conversation on a bus. It all feels a little awkward, but since they are going in the same direction- why not. It turns out that they are neighbours and they haven't met at all. Soon after that, the bus gets into an accident and when they wake up, they are the only ones there. They reveal that they aren't the only ones on the bus, but the only ones in the whole town as well. Suddenly, strange things start happening and they notice a dark matter that is like a fog and that is slowly but with certainty closing on them. Throughout the movie we see some flashbacks that show their past and some of the memories on the people from which some are dead and some are still alive. As they thought it can't be worse, it does. Some strange creatures begin to appear as well. And as they enter a hospital, in their attempt to get to a safe place, they hear a conversation of some people that are considering taking Ana off the life support machine. The performances that Steven and Karolina gave in this movie were outstanding and incredible. If you love watching thrillers, this is one of better ones.
