Daisy is a person who was taken away from the cruel world, but at the same time she had a hard time due to her mother’s rude education. She is so sensitive in her lack of knowledge about life. She needs someone who would defend her, as the society doesn’t want to understand her the way she is. So this is what happens to her when she meets Jay, she “catches” him as a safety band. Jay due to his general understanding of psychology is being very careful and understanding towards Daisy. He is protecting her, and taking care of her. In his company Daisy doesn’t have panic attacks anymore. He is not planning to change anything in his life, but due to this girl, he is discovering his essence again. Something that he buried a long time ago in his soul: his emotions, feelings, kindness and so on. Because in reality he is same “stranger” to everyone as Daisy is. But she believed in him, and by this trust and belief she gave him the power and the motivation for a change, and becoming a different but better person.

I can say that i rated this movie with ten from ten. I liked this movie very much. It is beautiful, it is sunny and it is very positive. Video, music, its atmosphere and of course the bus. Everything in this movie was wonderful. Yes, it is a drama (but it is a drama for two people), but it gives a whole row of positive emotions! I watched it, and held my breath during watching it, i smiled back on each smile of the main characters. The relationship between Daisy and Jay was so intimate, invisible and touching in their small little world that at the beginning no one was noticing it. Jay, who was stuck in his life that was not worthy, in the filth of the society was not able to see anything good and kind. And his fate has gave him a chance to watch this world from a different angle. And to give himself various things to think of. He meets Daisy in a very unexpected way, and this is ruining his “reality” completely! It is one of the best movies i have ever seen lately, i wish there were more movies of this kind.

Barefoot is a heartwarming and feel good rom-com with a twist. it ain't just another love story, but digs just a little bit deeper into themes of mental health, and the power of love to change one's course of this life. While my first encounter with the story came with the German Barfuss movie back in 2005, and while I still much prefer the German version (the soundtrack alone was a star in itself in that version) to this one, I was very satisfied with what Barefoot managed to achieve. I love the actors, both Scott Speedman and especially Evan Rachel Wood, gave a very strong and convincing performances. After watching the movie I felt elevated and heart-warmed, and for this lingering feel good sensation I give this movie 9 out of 10, and recommend it to any one looking for a good rom-com not following the standard rom-com formula all the way.

I watched this movie due to my friend who practically made me doing it, though i was planning to have a martini party with her, and now i am very grateful to her for it, as it really made me happy! Jay is the guy who likes to make a lot of noise everywhere he goes, he is not able to stay at one woking place for too long, and the worst thing is his own family considers him a loser. After another thing he done at work, he is sent “to serve the community”- to work as janitor in a clinic for mentally ill people. That was the place where he met the patient Daisy- a charming girl who looks quite normal, but is not adapted to the surrounding reality at all.
This girl becomes very attached to Jay and even runs away after him from the clinics, now Jay has to decide what to do further. From one side he has a invitation for his brother’s wedding, and from the other side they wait for him with the girlfriend he doesn’t have, and from the other side there is Daisy who follows his every step. So J decides to take Daisy with him to the wedding!
