I liked the movie, mostly because the plot of it was significantly different from the other fantasy movies with alien invasions on the Earth that i have ever seen before. I cannot say that it is the best movie ever , as well as i cannot say that it is the worst one, i think it simply worthy being seen, i do not mind seeing it, even one more time. I loved Aaron Eckhart in it, i saw him in a variety of other movies, he is such a cutie, and i love the fact that he is able to perform in any kind of genre, and shows really great results. I would recommend this movie to people who enjoy the fantasy genre, as well as everything that has to do with the aliens.

There are not many things that can be said about this movie, if describing it with one single word, than i would probably say that it is a boring one. The entire plot allows the viewers to assume that there will be something awesome about it, while in reality there is a boring “battle”, and the worst thing about it, is that you do not realize (during all the movie by the way), why are people fighting, and what the hell is wrong with them? What is with the alien ships, Jesus Christ, who writes this kind of scenarios? And what is wrong with people? I have no idea what drug should a person consume in order to write this story, as well as i do not understand the actors who agree to play in such bull****, personally i watched this movie due to Aaron Eckhart performing in it, his presence in the movie was a sign for me that it is not a bad one, but not anymore.

This film is simply noisy, violent, ugly and stupid. It is a reflection of appalling cynicism on the part of its makers, who don't even try to make it more than senseless chaos. It is an attempt to show a sci-fi film that's an insult to the words "science" and "fiction," and the hyphen in between them. Meteors fall to Earth alongside the coasts of the major cities. The aliens are hilarious. There are alien troops, which march up from the beach with their weapons of war and attack mankind. No reason is given for this, although it's mentioned they may want our water. Eh story lien is very poor so are the dialogues. They mostly contain of such phrases as Watch it! Move! Fire! Look out! Move! etc. The lazy editing style makes this movie pretty unwatchable. In this movie you cannot even realize where the heroes are, after watching it, I even cannot remember the main characters! Perfected techniques have caused the lack of the story itself, the great dialogue and definitely performances cannot be called promising with just four sentences. I highly do not recommend this film. Do not waste your time!

I think this movie doesn’t have a lot of pluses, for me a plus in this movie are the special effects, as I understand that people who were organizing it have done some very great and qualitative job, though they all were pretty much of the same kind, nevertheless all the shooting and destroyed things in the movie there were a few things that were bringing smile on the face. I guess the main character Aaron Eckhart has done a great job while performing his role, due to him I can say that this movie is not that bad, as it really is. While all the actors were not that good, I don’t even remember who they were. Whether they were in the movie, or not it is not a big and significant difference, but of course that is only mine very modest opinion, maybe there are people in the world who really enjoy this kind of crap; gladly I am not between them.
