What is the movie Before Midnight about?
Before Midnight is a romantic drama starring Ethan Hawke as Jesse and Julie Delpy as Celine. Jesse is a writer who is married to Celine and they have two twin daughters Ella and Nina. They live in Paris, France but they are spending a summer vacation in Greece in the house of Jesse's friends. In the end of the vacation, Jesse takes his son Hank to airport to send him to Chicago where he lives with his mother. Jesse begins to question his life decisions and his relationship with Celine is at risk. His Greek friend offers a hotel room for Jesse and Celine to spend one more night in Greece, but the two spend the time discussing their relationship instead. The best part of Before Midnight is definitely writing. It is sharp, humorous and intelligent, and the best part is that it feels very real. Screenplay is amazing and many will come back to this movie for a second viewing. This is an indie movie, but a good one, even excellent. The actors put on an astounding performance and they carry the movie seamlessly. This movie is definitely a must see for anyone who enjoys a good flick, if you haven't seen it, don't waste any more time and check it out!

Before Midnight is like an old friend who has grown sharper and grumpier and saltier with life; and for students of cinema, the film is a masterclass in the use of the language and tools of this amazing artform to portray human nature.

The beauty of this film - like the two before - is its natural flow of conversation and ability to engage and transport us into the moment
