It's a romantic comedy in which you're never quite sure if the sparks you see happening between Greta and Dan will ever actually erupt in romance. That little guessing game makes the script a bit unconventional. It's reminiscent of director John Carney's previous showbiz drama Once. I loved that film so I'm happy to revisit its style. Along the way we're treated to some beautiful musical numbers as Greta and Dan record an album at various locations throughout New York City.

can say that most of all in this movie i enjoyed listening to the calm and nice voice of Keira Knightley although she is stating that it was the first time in her life when she sang in front of people, and she was very worried about it. Though there is nothing exquisite in her performance, but i cannot take myself off listening the soundtrack to this movie the third day in a row. Plus there were a few songs performed by Adam Levine, in general, i can say that the music part of this movies was much higher of all my expectations from it. Most of all i liked the attitude of the main hero towards her own music, and towards the music itself. If speaking about actors, i cannot pass by without saying how great Mark has performed his character. i think his duet with Knightley is the main plus of this movie. There really was some chemistry between them. But the most important thing about this movie is of course the fact that it has its atmosphere and great dialogues. After watching this movie i felt like i want to smile only. And what else is needed from a good movie?

They both live in the heart of the musical world in New York. Dan is a legend of the show business and an ex chief of a music label, while Greta is a musician and an ex girlfriend of a rock star. But people become ex to each other only in order to start everything from the begin. The accidental meeting with Greta gives a new chance to Dan, they decide to record an album together. But they do not have neither money for it, nor professional musicians, but all of those things do not really matter, because Greta and Dan are ready to the most unexpected twists in their music, and of course in their love. So their studio has become the city of New York. Each of the songs that were recorded by the main hero performed by Keira Knightley has its own special meaning, it was aimed to bring a certain message to people about life, relationships, and looking for yourself, as well as getting the mutual understanding with another people. I liked this movie, it was something completely new for me.

When i went to see this movie, i was expecting a good musical love story, but i could not even imagine that this movie would be such a good one.Not seeing the movie “Begin again” means losing a lot in this life, as a minimum two hours of magic mood and a charming duet of Keira Knightley and Marc, and the leader of the Maroon 5 music band.
And eventually i could not pass through the soundtracks to the movie, half of which were performed by Keyra, i think after the release of the movie she can easily start the carrier of a singer, because i heard those songs are already very popular in Europe. I cannot describe this movie, i don’t have enough words for it. This movie is a real emotion, this movie is mood. It is light, romantic and cheeky. That is why i advise everyone to see it! It is a pity that nowadays i am able to see this kind of romantics only in the movies, and for some reason it is completely absent in day to day life.

Carney is wonderful at evoking the joy of music, its healing powers, and the way it connects us to each other and the universe

I'm glad, I seriously am, that John Carney wants to make deeply and embarrassingly sincere musical movies, and I hope he keeps on making them, but let's also hope he realizes that when it comes to Once, once was enough.
