Beyond the Trophy is one of those hardcore movies where you don't manage to get from the beginning who is the bad guy and who is the good guy. It all seems pretty grey. The focus of the story is on two mobster families in two different cities- Las Vegas and Los Angeles. One family are the Labmerts with Cole Lambert (Michael Madsen) as their leader, and the other one is with Gino (Robert Miano) as the head of the family. As usual, these two families are fighting each other for the control of all the goods they are dealing with- drugs, guns and prostitution. In that mix a young LAPD cop is added- young Danny (Michael Masini), who has infiltrated one of these gangs in order to bring them both down. As the story goes on, we see him getting more and more involved with criminal actions, straying from the path and falling in love with young woman Angela (Ali Costello), who is already in a love triangle with her man Jake Le Blanc and a mob boss Gino. Messing up with her certainly has deadly effects. And only thing she wants is to get rid of her evil husband and the rest of the men in that world and get out of that nest. Will young police officer manage to get her out of there, bring the mobsters down and keep his head on his shoulders?
