Blood Ties is a crime thriller with the elements of a drama starring Clive Owen, Marion Cotillard, Mila Kunis and Billy Crudup. The story of Blood Ties is set in the year 1974 in New York and tells a tale of a fifty year old Chris who has been released from the prison on good behavior. He was in the prison for several years after a gangland murder, and now, his younger brother Frank, a police man, is waiting for him outside the gates. Chris and Frank have always been different, and their father Leon seems to favor Chris despite all of his troubles. Frank is hoping that his brother has changed and gives him one more chance, he shares his home with him, finds him a job and helps him reconnect with his children and his ex-wife. Unfortunately, Chris once again descends into a life of crime and Frank banishes him from his life. Unfortunately, he will find out that nothing is as simple as he thought it to be. Blood Ties isn't a typical Hollywood gangster movie, it is a story focusing on the characters and how they develop. The actors do an astonishing job, and their roles are believable. There isn't a lot of action in this movie, which is good since it would only destroy the movie. If you are in the mood for a good movie about crime, you are in the right place. Give Blood Ties a chance and you will experience the time fly by at lightning speed and you will have a blast while watching it.
