Carrie is a cult classic which many people have already seen, but, this remake is perfect for the new generations who haven't had the opportunity to see the original movie. It is a story of an outcast teenager Carrie White who is bullied in her high school. She gets her first period and isn't aware of what is happening to her and her "friends" humiliate her in the changing room. The humiliation is recorded and posted all over the Internet. Carrie soon learns that she possesses the power of telekinesis and learns how to control it. One popular girl feels bad for the things done to Carrie, and asks her boyfriend to invite Carrie to go with him to the prom. But another couple plots an evil prank targeting Carrie which finally makes her snap. It is pointless to argue which movie is better, the original or the remake, they are both good. This one does very well at portraying how Carrie must have felt during the abuse, the emotions are real and the actors did an astonishing job. Computer effects are barely noticeable and they are exceptionally well done. Camera work is good and the movie isn't slow paced. If you have seen the original Carrie you could see this one as well, but if you haven't seen Carrie, now is the right time to do so!
