Imagine that cars could talk and live the way that humans live. Would they behave the same as the humans do? Or would they live their lives a lot more peaceful? This animated movie tells the story of a hot shot race car that gets a lesson learned. Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) is one of the best and fastest race cars in the whole California. He is travelling to Piston Cup to settle the score with his biggest nemesis The King and Chick Hicks. Along the way, Lightning manages to destroy a small town road and is caught by the police. The court sentences him to repair all the destroyed roads in the Radiator Springs. Since he is new in the town and is already marked as a bad guy, Lightning must now find the way to show the people that he isn't as bad as his reputation says he is. But, first, he has to stop being such a hot shot in order to be able to show the people his true colours. As the story develops, Lightning manages to find a couple of friends and also gets to know what being a real family means. The only thing left is to defeat his nemesis at the Cup. Will he leave this all behind and go after his previous goal?
