Movie Charlie Zone is independently filmed by Michael Melski. He participated in story writing and did directing and production all alone. Movie is filmed in Canada and many scenes are filmed in Halifax. With low budget, Michael relied on story and good acting of the crew to make the movie a great piece of Canadian film industry. Charlie Zone is a thriller with elements of drama and it is permeated with crime. Main character is ex-convict Avery Paul (Glen Gould) who was boxer and now fights on street for small money. Some of his fights are uploaded on the internet and that is how Ava (Jennie Raymond) found him. Ava approaches to Avery with an offer for an illegal job. She offers twenty thousand dollars in return for his service. He is asked to abduct a young runaway and drug-addicted Jan (Amanda Crew) and bring her back to her family. He is also instructed that she is in a drug house with dangerous drug dealers. Worn out and with no time to wait for great things, Avery Paul takes the offer. During his work for Ava he will discover that things are far from what they appear to be. After discovering that he was set up and that Jan is sentenced to die because of political games, Avery changes he planes and tries to turn the table in favour to the young girl. Plot of the movie is cleverly written and provides excitement to the audience.
