How to Treat a Celebrity You're Dating

What is the movie City Lights about?
One of the best comedy movies that have ever been made! That is what many people are saying and the ratings are here to confirm this fact. City Lights is a movie in which we have a chance to see Charley Chaplin in one of his adventures. He plays The Little Tramp who meets a blind girl who is selling flowers for life. She thought that he is very rich by mistake and that is when the story unfolds. Charley Chaplin in the movie realizes that she can regain her sight with operation and he is more than ready to do whatever it takes to make her see him. Tramp is making plans in order to earn some money, since he likes her very much. While doing everything to make some money, he ends up in jail. During this period, the blind girl manages to regain her sight and she meets the man who was in charge of the operation. To prove that this movie has the elements of drama, there is a scene in which the girl with the flowers realizes that Tramp is not really rich, and that is one of the most important movies in the history of Hollywood. Back in the days, in 1931 when this movie was released, that was even more thrilling and exciting and even today it is hard for the directors to succeed and make a movie like this one. Chaplin is the director of the movie himself and he definitely showed us that he is great and no matter what he is doing.

Charlie Chaplin takes himself a little more seriously in the film “City Lights”, and the results are spectacular. The musical score which Chaplin composed for the film was one of the many highlights, and even though Charlie's performance is much more dramatic than usual in some scenes, the hilarious comedy for which he is known and loved is still abundant.
“City Lights” is a really well-made movie in which the evident flaws of that time can be overlooked. The little things like that really don't matter. Besides, this movie was made seventy years ago.
Chaplin does a phenomenal job in his traditional role of the tramp, and develops a perfectly convincing romantic relationship with the blind flower girl on the sidewalk. His friendship with the drunken rich guy is hilarious, but it also makes a significant comment about the problems of alcohol. This is truly a great film, which should not be forgotten.
