Imagine when you could stop or rewind your life, at least for a moment. What would you do? Would you do some things different? Or would to try to see what happens in the future? This is the dilemma everyone of us has to deal with- what would you do if you could turn back time. It happens that Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) gets the chance to try that out. Michael is a simple man, a workaholic with a nice wife Donna Newman (Kate Beckinsale) and amazing kids. But, as he is trying to impress his new boss Ammer (David Hasselhoff), he gets in too deep with his assignments and doesn't seem to be able to balance everything out. So, as he is looking for a universal remote for his TV and all other gadgets in the house, Michael meets Morty (Christopher Walken), who works in the gadget shop, who also gives him something that should make his life a lot less complicated- a universal remote, but for life. He can point and click at anything, rewind, stop, pause, put into slow motion, like you would to with a TV show. As the possibilities are various, temptation is also high and things start going wrong when the same remote starts messing things up.
