“Cloud Atlas” tells a story of a six reincarnations of one soul; two of the stories take place in the future. Six narratives are told in different times and places, but they are interrelated. The narrators are: A lazy voyager, who was crossing the Pacific Ocean in 1850; a journalist in California; a publisher, trying to flee from his creditors; a ‘dinery server’ with modified genes, preparing to death and a young man, witnessing the fall of civilization. The movie shows the way our actions, done in past, have their consequences in present and future, impacting each other. A single act of goodness made a survivor out of a killer echoing his deeds through the centuries.
