It is known that every guy gets cold feet before the day of his wedding. Some of them go through with it, some get to scared. This is a movie that tells the story about a guy that is to be married and a pretty unusual event that takes place on the night before his wedding. John August, Caroline Thompson and Pamela Pettler were the ones who did some brainstorming and came up with the whole story for this animated movie, while Tim Burton and Carlos Grangel got their hands on the character development. In the end, Tim Burton and Mike Johnson were the ones to sit behind the camera and make the whole vision come true. The story is placed in 1800s in a small village. Victor Van Dort and Victoria Everglot are to be wed and they haven't even got to know each other. As they do the test ceremony, Victor is unable to say the words. Scared that he will disappoint both Victoria and his parents, Victor runs away to get himself together. In the forest near by he practises his speech, declaring his love, but accidentally marries a corpse. So, she rises from dead and accepts it. That's when the troubles begin. The whole thing is fun to watch on any occasion- lots of friends having a movie night or curling to a hot cup of tea alone at home.
