Cottage Country is a pretty interesting comedy that comes from Canada. This is something that anyone should see. Movie starts as a romantic comedy but as soon as audience starts to feel sympathy for unmarried couple, bad behaviour and selfishness are going to cost a lot one of the characters. Story starts and ends with Todd (Tyler Labine) and Cammie (Malin Akerman) who are in love and Todd is about to propose to Cammie. They go on a romantic trip to the cottage where act of proposal should happen. Todd is chubby dude who is willing to make compromise in order to avoid conflict. When his good looking, self centred and selfish brother Salinger Chipowski (Dan Petronijevic) shows up and brings his kinky girlfriend Masha (Lucy Punch), the perfect plan of proposal is ruined. The Cottage belongs to family and neither of brothers has bigger right to be there. Salinger has no sense for the others and deserves to be punished for inappropriate behaviour. Brothers can get along and at one moment, while getting humiliated by Salinger Todd, one of them loses his temper and hits mean brother with an axe. Willing to get proposed as they planned, Cammie becomes a partner in crime and makes the plan to get rid of any loose ends. They decide to kill Masha and this leads to spiral that went out of control. Cottage Country is not the first comedy about young couple on a killing spree but it is good one that audience will recommend to their friends.
