We all know the movies about cowboys and Indians, these are old western movies. They fight against each other and we always cheer for one side, hoping that that side will win. The creation of director Jon Favreau is similar, but with one little tweak. Instead of fighting with Indians, these cowboys get to fight with aliens. It is year 1873 when an alien space ship lands in Arizona. It starts with a stranger who wakes up without any recollection of what happened the day before. Or any other day throughout his past as well. He wakes up in desert of Absolution while the sun is on its peek. The only thing he has is a chunky shackle on his wrist. And it isn't too long until he starts knowing about his past. His name is Jake Lonergan and he has a bounty on his head. Very soon he notices that the strangers aren't welcome in the town of Absolution. They live in fear of Colonel Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford), who is a harsh man and rules with the iron fist. But, these people don't know yet the real meaning of the word fear, because they are about to confront with forces that are taking over the Earth and are coming from the sky. And the only one who has the weapon to defeat them is our stranger from the beginning of the movie.
