Crave is a drama thriller starring Josh Lawson, Emma Lung and Ron Perlman. It is a story of a photographer who is haunted by the urban violence and decay around him. He retreats into an inner world of dark and twisted fantasies. The dangerous visions he encounters explode in reality with a deadly outcome when his new relationship with a young woman goes sour. Crave is a dark movie with a gloomy mood. The main character has a kind of split personality and thinks of himself as a guardian angel of a violent and ruthless society. Josh Lawson did amazing work, he played his role very well and it is amazing how he shows many emotions ranging from sadness to laughter, he can also be depressive and rather melancholic. The movie is a bit slow, and the depressive atmosphere only adds up to that feeling, but it doesn't make it a boring movie, just different, which many people can appreciate. Crave has some social commentary in it and the director did a pretty good job even if it is a low budget movie. If you can muster up the strength to sit through a dark and gloomy movie, you will surely find something to enjoy in Crave.
