Words assassin, hitmen and gunslinger cause us to imagine someone sharp, usually overly developed with rough face lines. With that picture goes we create behaviour that is typical for macho studs. Nick Lenz wrote story about one hitman. He didn’t use clichés about hired guns. Character that Nick created is for some people disappointing as a hitman. Nick directed his story so characters are as he imagined them. Main man of the movie is Jack Verlaine (Robert Seay). Jack has average built and doest stick up from the crowd. He is quiet guy, with not much display of emotions on his face. He looks like someone who has seen things and doesn't talk about them. He gets offer to ‘clean’ someone who beat up one Russian beauty. With job that includes big firearms, concealed carry, tempting and easy stunners and strippers comes high risk. Even great shooters can become practice targets. Strange people are part of the game too. Mark Rolston did great job acting Brill. Brill is the one who gives offer to Jack to get his game to higher level. If you are looking for continuous shootout and ragging action this movie is not for you. Crosshairs have slow steady pace and it is probably more closer to real life hitman. Jack uses his gun up to four times during the movie. The rest of characters are not commandos, gunslingers from the Wild West or secret agents. That adds to the story about real average hitman.
