Curse of Chucky is a horror movie written and directed by Don Mancini, starring Chantal Quesnelle, Fiona Dourif and Jordan Gavaris. It is a story about a depressed woman named Sarah who lives with her disabled daughter Nica who is bound to her wheelchair since birth. They live in an old and isolated house. One day Sarah receives a package in which she founds a creepy red haired doll Chucky. She throws the doll in the garbage and during that night she is found dead while Chucky is set on a chair in the living room. Nica's sister Barb attends the funeral with her estranged husband and their daughter Alice. During the night, there are mysterious deaths and Nica discovers the package and after searching the Internet she suspects that Chucky might be the culprit. Most of the horror fans know who Chucky is, and they might think that this movie will disappoint them, but that can't be any further from the truth. The writing is excellent and it shows. There are some pretty gruesome kills which can be compared to those in the previous Chucky movies. Fans of Chucky series will definitely check this movie out, but if you aren't familiar with Chucky and the movies about this creepy doll, this is the perfect time to find out why so many people are scared of red haired dolls today.
