A lone rider reaches a little town nestling high up in the Alpes. He goes along a hidden path and after a really long ride – several days of travelling on a horseback – he finally reaches a populated locality. Nobody knows where the rider comes from and he’s not much of a speaker. Nobody can guess what his true motives to stay at their city are. But all of them know for sure that they don’t want him there, he’s not invited and he’s not welcome. However he stays and finds shelter at some woman’s house. Greider works as a photographer. Seeing as there are no other people owing photo cameras in that village he has much work to do: he takes various pictures of people. After some time he gets attracted by the woman he has been staying at. The movie has one peculiarity – almost each character speaks a different dialect. The dialect used in the movie is Tyrolean, and this feature makes the movie much more authentic (but also harder to understand for Germans).
