Jean-Jacques Annaud was the director of an outstanding movie called Day Of Falcon. The story for this piece was based on a novel "Arab" by Hans Ruesch, the movie adaptation was done by Alain Godard and Jean-Jacques Annaud himself while the screenplay was written by Menno Meyjes. The story sets in 1930 in the desert. At the time, there were two kingdoms fighting for the same land. But, those two Arabian sultans agreed on having that piece of land as "a no man's land", which they called The Yellow Belt. Some decades after, one of them realizes there is lots of diseases in his country, which need to be cured and for that, he needs more money. At one point, one America oil company offers services to Emir Nesib (Antonio Banderas), one of the sultans. Since that is no man's land and not one of them can claim it, there was nothing about using the resources from it, so he agrees. That not only brings him wealth, but an old war as well. His long time enemy Sultan Amar (Mark Strong) treats this gesture as a violation of their agreement and prepares for a war. Their children, Prince Auda and Princess Leyla (Tahar Rahim & Freida Pinto) try to talk them into peace. But, will they succeed or will they have to choose sides?
