Death Race 2 is the perfect sequel or better to say prequel to the world known and adored movie Death Race. Brought to us by Paul W.S. Anderson, who wrote the story, and Tony Giglio, the man responsible for the screenplay, this action sci-fi thriller was ultimately directed by Roel Reiné. The plot follows the life of famous Carl Lucas before and in the prison. After a bank robbery went wrong, Carl Lucas (Luke Goss), who was a getaway car driver, was caught by the police, arrested and ended up in prison. In order to make some money out of running a prison, the warden organizes a fight for all angry prisoners, which will be broadcast on the national TV. So, very soon upon his arrival to the prison, Carl Lucas is forced to participate in these fights, since he's paired up with someone who has absolutely no experience in fighting or racing. As the tension rises instead of making the prisoner calmer, they manage to break out from their cages and get start making a huge mess and fight each other till the death. The transmission is cut and the prisoners are settled in their cells. But, a new idea emerges- racing until the death. The conditions are clear: the team that wins 5 races one after another gets to walk out of prison, they have earned their freedom. Who will be the one to get out of the prison alive?
