Deb is a very responsible and loving girl. For years she’s been taking care of her family members who didn’t even appreciate it. She’s been trapped in that role of a caretaker and never had time for building a family of her own. One day she realizes that can’t live like this anymore and she desperately needs to get her own life. That’s when her ex unrequited love asks her to take care of his downtown L.A. loft; she immediately grabs this opportunity. Upon moving to L.A. Deb Dorfman finds herself in a whole new world that doesn’t have anything in common with her past life. She is surrounded by new people and finds new traits in her own character. She even decides to change the way she looks, so her appearance would match her new inner world. Deb feels like a completely different person, and yet there is something she desires most – to be loved by someone. She craves for that incredible feeling and notices that her affection for her new neighbor (supposedly a gay) grows every day.
