From the brilliant mind of Oscar Wilde comes an outstanding piece called Dorian Gray. This novel was a huge success and it still is, but at one moment, Toby Finlay did an adaptation from a film and it was directed by Oliver Parker. The story itself revolves around one man- Dorian Gray. It starts off with a sunny day as one of the most famous painters does a masterpiece portrait of young lord called Dorian Gray (Ben Barnes). After that, the young lord gets to experience various situations- from debauchery to deceit, from treason to love, from one century to another. And it seems like he is always the same. As he seduces one of the young girls, then leaves her for superficial way of life, it is only couple of years later as he finds out that she had killed herself, drowned in the river. And her brothers are looking for a revenge. Soon, he gets out of town and continues with his life of pleasure. After a while, he starts realizing that he isn't getting any older and becomes pretty interested in that, so he takes a look at his portrait. Unlike him, the person in the painting is rotten, decayed and everything he's not but should be. He discovers that the painting somehow keeps him young and alive, while it gets older and rotten.
