We all loved Dumb and Dumber as soon as it was released. Unprecedented acting of comedy king Jim Carrey and his friend Jeff Daniels in the main roles made us cry from laughing. But, it's time to see how it all begun. For the story was Robert Brener responsible and then it was adapted to a film screenplay by him and by Troy Miller, who was also the director of the movie. The story is placed in 1980s, when Harry (Derek Richardson) and Lloyd (Eric Christian Olsen) met in high school. With everyone else thinking of them as "special", it was only the question of time when they would be friends. With Principal Collins (Eugene Levy) on the head of the high school and his lover, Ms. Heller (Cheri Oteri), who is a secretary, they discover that school be given a large amount of money if they have at least one student with special needs. In that moment, they see Harry and Lloyd being tied up to flags by the school bullies and they are actually laughing at themselves instead of complaining. Both principal and the secretary get an instant idea about opening a class for students with special needs and assign Harry and Lloyd to it. As one of the school news reporters Jessica (Rachel Nichols) is pretty suspicious about all of that, she starts investigating. But to find out the truth, she will need to befriend Harry and Lloyd.
