When someone testifies on the court against a big time criminal, they need the highest protection they can get. That is where he comes in. John Kruger ( Arnold Schwarzenegger) is a U.S. Marshall who is also known by the nickname "Eraser". He is the best when it comes to deleting someone's past and giving that person a totally new identity. The first thing he does is "kill" that someone. He does the best thing in making everything look as if that person was killed and burned down along with the house or apartment where he/she lives. The body is found in the end, but it is burned so much that it can't be recognized at all. This time, John is on an assignment to protect Lee Cullen (Vanessa Williams), who is working for Cyrez Corporation. They are the biggest manufactures of the weapon for the military and she knows too much. Naturally, such big and successful company won't let anyone or anything destroy their reputation as well as the profit. That is why he needs to protect her. There is a killer on the loose waiting to get his hands on Lee. Throughout the whole movie we see John doing his best to give her her life back, as well as to protect her, but the main twist is yet to come as he finds out who is actually behind the ordered murder.
