I think the biggest majority of people nowadays enjoys seeing Walt Disney bright and pretty cartoons, that is why this cartoon might look ugly for them, but for me personally it is a very special one, and i consider it perfect for watching it at home, when it is very cold outside, but i am being wrapped in a cozy and warm blanket and hold a big cup of hot chocolate in my hands! From the logical point of view friendship between a bear and and mouse is impossible. But they both are very artistic natures, the musician bear, and the mouse who dreams of becoming an artist. So in order to stay friends, our heroes have to go through a lot of hard situations, as well as through the common views of the society which is against them as they represent a chaos in their perfectly built lifestyle.

Ernest and Celestine is a great cartoon in all the possible meanings, and it will be just right for children and adults, that is why i recommend you to not miss it! In one word- it is very good that someone i not afraid to film and create this kind of movies, even if against the society’s preferences! The plot of it is not very far away from the visual image. And according to the spirit it also matches. From one side it is very easy so even children can understand it, but from the other side it is intelligent enough in order to make interesting for the adults, they will not feel bored for sure! Yes there are not a lot of meaningful and funny phrases in here, as well as some too stupid situations, but no matter all those things, everything looks very cute! although of course according to my own feeling this cartoon is more for adult people who would want to feel as they are kids again while listening to the fairy tale, and of course they will listen to it very carefully, and would not forget to watch the pretty pictures as well.

Mmm for me it is very difficult to write this review as i have never done anything like that in my entire life. The main thing for me about this movie is that no matter how hard i tried i still was not able to understand the meaning of it. But it doesn’t really matter because anyway i liked it a lot! The light in the movie was all the time not intensive, that was making the house look more mysterious. And of course the hypnotic track performed by Tilda Swinton who was during the entire movie holding the hand of her depressive genius lover.Only by the end of the movie i made an impression about it, is same as i was offered a candy which was same size as a huge bread. I got a almost physical pleasure from the movie. As about the plot, who cares about the plot?! The famous movie director has allowed us to enter his dream, not for us complaining about something, but in order to get amazed by it. This movie is not for boring people, it is for creative ones, who know how to live their life!

If talking about the plot of this movie than it is important to mention it i unusual and complex, but not predictable at all. The french people have filmed the new chipmunks of their own, and made a warm cartoon in the style of old european cartoons like “The story of papa rabbit”. Which is drawn in a album in the precise meaning of the word. There are no negative characters, which is already a huge plus. Ernest and Celestine were once compared with Bonnie and Clyde, and i say it is bulshit!
As about the scene with the drawing, the reaction of the mouse was like Celestine has through out the portrait. I would advise you to watch this movie while being at home, sitting on a cozy couch, and having a cup of warm and tasty tea in your hands. I am sure that after this cartoon you will have only great dreams and will wake up with great mood on the next day!
