It has been a while since an animated movie like Ernest & Celestine was made, it can safely be said that this one is one of the best in the last few years, and even more! The story revolves around a world in which the bears live above the ground in the cities while the rodents live in the underground. They live in mutual fear and hate and this is where this lovely story of friendship begins. Celestine is a mouse dentist, he finds a common cause with a poor street musician bear Ernest and they both get rejected from their respective worlds. Even tho a terrible misfortune has befallen them these two become friends and their talents grow stronger due to their friendship. The problems come in the shape of authorities of their worlds who are trying to track them down. Ernest and Celestine have to stand up for what they believe in and try to set things straight. Ernest & Celestine is based on a children's book and the art style resembles the one in the children's book, which is a big plus. The whole world looks gorgeous and the unlikely duo is just as amazing. Colors are lovely and the animation is wonderful, technical aspects of this animated movie are top notch. This movie can be enjoyed by the whole family, both the kids and the parents will fall in love with the characters and cheer for them as they fight to overcome all of the difficulties thrown their way. This is a must see for anyone who appreciates a good animated movie.
