From the mind of writer and director Bryan Michael Stoller comes an amazing story of a friendship between a boy and a dog. It all starts as President of the United States (Eric Roberts) gets shot at during the opening of a high school that carries his name, and there is a commotion going on. His dog Teddy gets parted from his master and gets lost in the crowd. Somehow Teddy manages to find his way to the local orphanage, where he gets welcomed and makes friends. Most of all the kids there, his attention gets a young and shy Danny Milbright. Danny (John-Paul Howard) doesn't have much friends. Actually, Danny has a bit of the problem fitting in, so he is all alone very often. That’s why Teddy chooses him as a new master. As two of them get to spend some time together, they form a strong bond. But when Danny notices the necklace around Teddy's neck, he is determined to bring him back to the rightful owner, the President of the United States. He sets his mind to it, but all the adults try and keep him from doing that. Finally Danny decides to run away, hitch-hike and get to where he is intended to. Along the way, Danny makes lots of new friends and goes through various adventures with his friend, the dog Teddy.
