Many wise men said that religion is an opium for masses. Through the history many different religions caused millions of deaths directly or by secondary events. It is the fact that people were controlled by religion and even today religious fanatics are using ultimate violence in the name of God. On the other hand, in recent history strong opponent to religion was created after industrial revolution. Socialism was invented as ideology and many countries adopted it. In those countries all religions were banned. This was real cause for many violent clashes between fractions of different opinions. From 1926 to the 1929 in Mexico people stood up and fought against social atheistic government. When government banned religion they took away basic human right from the people. With intentions to give up, people of the Mexico organised the resistance. This war was bloody, brutal and it showed no mercy to both sides. Film was shot on a location in Mexico. Because of that and the fact that it is based on true events For Greater Glory: The True Story of Cristiada has heavy weight. Dean Wright directed this movie to be convincing as much as he could. Andy Garcia is most famous actor in the movie. Rest of the crew cast did performed very good. Movie length is two hours and fifteen minutes which was just enough to describe accurately what happened during this war.
