Gambit is a movie about a curator named Harry Deane, he is an expert in fine arts but he has a boss who loves making his life a living hell. Harry decides that he has to do something about it and put his boss back in his place. He decides to trick his boss into buying a fake Monet painting. In order to make his plan work, Deane hires a Texan cowgirl who will help him in fooling his boss, the richest man in England. Soon enough Deane finds out that his feelings for the rodeo girl have become more complicated and he is in fact falling in love with her which further complicates his plan to trick his boss. This movie shouldn't be taken seriously, it is a fun movie with a bit of romance thrown in. The goal of the movie is to entertain and Gambit does a pretty good job at doing just that. Viewers shouldn't expect a deep, intricate plot full of twists and turns; they should expect a relaxing popcorn flick which will make them laugh and cheer for the main actor. There is one special treat in the movie and it comes in the form of Cameron Diaz. Fans of this lovely lady will love the way she acts and the way she manages to make people laugh. Gambit should be checked out by anyone who appreciates a relaxing movie which doesn't require lots of thinking.
