What is the movie Garbage about?
American dream is to go from zero to hero. Land of opportunities gives a chance to everyone. Literally the one can find a life changing piece in a trash. One part of America is different than the others. Main characters are Lenny Eaton (Jed Rees) and Abbot Smith (Jon Huck). Lenny and Abbot are garbage truck drivers who provide services to famous actors on Beverly Hills and Hollywood. They meet Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, William Baldwin and other celebrities. They are happy with their lives and enjoy doing their job. Everything changes when Lenny find Cuba Gooding Jr’s best supporting Actor Oscar for Jerry Maguire. Cuba Gooding Jr’s best supporting Actor Oscar for Jerry Maguire represents Holly Grail that people are seeking in order to become famous quickly. Lenny changes accordingly to his popularity. In this part of movie is clearly embedded critique of fast rising starts. Evolution of perfect friendship from great to non is captured with great success. Important questions are being raised. Like : what do we need to be really happy? Under the influence of Hollywood we forgot about simple things. Unreal expectations from life and pressure to be successful at some irrelevant things force people to change. If you decide to watch “Garbage“ prepare for 88 minutes of change between drama and comedy directed by Phil Volken.
