He is one of the most famous and wanted men on the planet. He is a fashion photographer. He is a cruel womaniser. He is Connor Mead (Matthew McConaughey). He likes having relations with no strings attached and that is it. At one point, he gets invited to his little brother's wedding. He wouldn't accept, but this is an occasion to talk him out of getting married until it's too late, so he goes. As he arrives to his late uncle's estate, he gets in time for a rehearsal dinner. After that, he starts putting his plan into reality and talks to his brother how nothing is worth it. But, as he goes to the men's room, he gets a strange visit from his late uncle's spirit, who tells him that he was wrong and three spirits will visit him tonight. And through the rest of the movie we see Connor learning his lesson through all of his past experiences that he gets to revisit this night and see all the mistakes he had made, as well as to see the moment when he really fell in love with the one girl he never wanted to let go, but did - Jenny Perotti (Jennifer Garner). This way of storytelling really reminds of Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and it has almost the same lesson in the end, but since the twist is a bit different, it makes it perfect for watching over and over again.
