If your country was under attack from deadly blood sucking aliens, would you even consider having a beer? Hell, no! But, it turns out in this case, you might want to.. If not beer, than something stronger. The idea for this plot was written by Kevin Lehane and the whole movie was directed by Jon Wright. The whole story begins with an alien monster that had set itself on Erin Island in Ireland. Unlike anything the audience had seen before, these aliens have semi aquatic form and they enjoy in having the local citizens as their snacks. Local police officers O' Shea and the rookie Nolan discover, at one point, that these creatures need lots of water to be able to move on the land. But with the upcoming storm, that doesn't seem pretty well. People are terrified until the moment, when they discover that one of the survivors is a local alcoholic who was drunk during one of the attacks. And that's where the fun begins. With outstanding performances of all the actors in this movie and combination of CGI effects for the alien creatures gave the right mix of comedy and drama in every moment. According to critics, the movie plot was amazingly thought through, ideas are great, animation effects as well and the timing and the mix of right ingredients is just perfect.
