After defeating the last Immortal in the previous part, this sequel tells the story what happened with the Highlander, Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) after he regained the mortality. The year is 2024 and the Earth is a lot different place than it used to be. After the ozone above the Earth was almost destroyed in 1999, in order to prevent all life to be lost, Connor founded a corporation called "Shield" and helped to build a shield that will keep the oxygen and the Earth in the state favourable for humans. Now, he is an old man, since there was no Immortal left that he needs to fight with. Suddenly, one day, he regained his youth, which could mean only one thing: that there is another Immortal out there. But, how is that possible? It turns out that the people like him, Immortals, are coming from another planet called Zeist and that there is a lot more of them. Again he gets to meet his old friend Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez (Sean Connery), who helps him fight off more Immortals that are coming for them from the Zeist, along with General Katana (Michael Ironside), who wants MacLeod dead. Is there only the one or will this be another couple of centuries of fight?
